Weeping Willow

Weeping Willow, by the bay

Do you weep because she could not stay

Her smile lingers, her laughter begins to fade

We dwell on the nineteen years of life she made

Weeping Willow, resting there

Do you rest because you have no care

We miss her dearly, this we know

However, we don’t understand why she had to go

Weeping willow, watching over

Do you watch those who remain un-sober

Her mistakes were made, her life she lost

Why do others not understand, or accept the cost

Weeping Willow, why so sad

Reflect on the memories you’ve had

They’ll learn soon enough, that you, they have to lean

For you are not a weeping willow, but our angel Shawna Jean
